Review: Halo 3 (Xbox 360)

We were dissapointed in Halo 3 after waiting all this time for the epic finale. The hype was so big for it and we were looking forward to it, so when it came out we played it straight away. The graphics in the game were excellent and did the game justice, but the graphics were the same sort of graphics as the previous two games. Halo 3 however were brighter and crisper making it easier to see and imagine being inside the world of Halo.

As far as the weapons go they are pretty much the same as Halo 2, aside from the comeback of the Assault rifle. The weapons go together nicely with the graphics and the overall feel of the game is nice and enjoyable. The actual enviroments for the multiplayer aspect of the game are designed especially for the weapons. They are well thougfht out to give the player the ultimate control of how the game shapes out, e.g if a player knows the map better than the other player then he will have a better chance because he will be able to pick up the key weapons on the map as he will know where they are. The levels themselves are basically average Halo levels which mix vehicles with buildings or fortresses. The multiplayer aspect of the game is strong and fluent which feels complete.

The single player aspect of the game however is the weakest of the trilogy. It is a short and complex story which confused us and didnt leave us much knowledge on the final chapter. The ending of the game leave’s gamer’s feeling angry and upset because they have payed all that money for a game that can be finished in 6 hours. Overall it is not the strongest Halo title, but is a good transformation to the next generation of consoles.

 The Joypad Score: 7

Not the best in the trilogy and a pretty weak story and campaign, but if you like playing online then this game is a good well made multiplayer fps.
